Since 2016, Mike Adamson has developed a presence on the speculative fiction and mystery stage as a writer of short fiction. Published on some 240 occasions to date, his work spans science fiction, fantasy, horror, mystery, historical and adventure genres, with the occasional foray into the purely literary. In 2023, Mike's first novel, Sherlock Holmes: A Tradition of Evil marks the opening of a new phase in his career, with several anthologies and further novels also forthcoming. After more than seven years concentrating on the short story market, the time seemed right for a dedicated website (complimenting the blog Mike has maintained, somewhat sporadically, since the early days) and in the various pages of this site you'll find a record of Mike's work across the range of fields mentioned above. There are listings of stories in each genre, notations of where they may be found and, in many cases, direct links to purchase the volumes they have appeared in, as well as a selection of free reads. Free reads include some early publications (plus links to see them in permanent web archives). A number of Mike's stories have been podcast over the years, and these may also be accessed from the Miscellany section. The column at right of each page features the covers of publications in which Mike's work has appeared. Each carries a direct link to either purchase the volume or, in some cases, read online. This site will be growing as it is updated with new material, being new entries in the various listings and features, and the covers and links of new publications.
